Senior Machinist / Cabinetmaker

About the Position
Olek, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Machinist/Cabinetmaker to join our traditional architectural millwork shop specializing in historic door and millwork replication. We are a well-established company (since 1950) offering steady, year-round employment, long-term projects, and a collaborative shop environment.

Responsibilities
Independently lay out complex doors and millwork components
Grind, select, and specify custom knives and cutters
Set up and operate traditional shapers and molders safely
Machine curved, tapered, and irregular wood components
Produce cope-and-stick, mortise-and-tenon, and haunched joints
Match historic molding profiles from samples
Design and build fixtures for short production runs
Troubleshoot machinery, tooling, and tolerance issues
Minimize waste of premium lumber and veneers
Train and supervise junior operators
