Beginning March 1st, 2019, Coney Island Site Nine, a rental housing development supervised by the New York State Homes and Community Renewal will begin accepting applications for placement on the wait list for studio and one bedroom apartments under the Section 236 program.

Utilities included in the rent: electricity, gas, heat and water.
Tenant rent the highest of: Section 236 basic rent or 30% of household adjusted income, not exceeding the Market Rent.
24-hour security guard, onsite senior center, elevator, service coordinator, community garden, community room and laundry facilities.
Applicants must be a minimum of 62 years old at the time of the application submission in order to be placed on the waiting list. There are ten (10) mobility accessible apartment in the building set aside for applicants with members who are mobility impaired.
Preference will be given to documented veterans selected in the lottery.
We will select by Lottery only the first 750 Applicants for further processing. Completed applications must be postmarked by regular mail to the address listed on the application by midnight March 31st, 2019. The waiting list will be closed as of March 31st, 2019. Any application received after this date will be deemed ineligible.

There is no charge for the submission of an application. Applications will be selected by LOTTERY.
